Pancreatin + dimeticone (Pankreoflat)
Pancreoflat, Pancreatin + dimethicone
Forms: Coated tablets of porcine pancreatic enzymes (lipase, amylase, protease) with the antifoaming agent dimeticone; plain pancreatin products are separate medicines. The tablets contain porcine protein and lactose: severe allergic reactions, including anaphylactic shock, have been reported in people allergic to cow's milk protein.
Combination of porcine digestive enzymes and dimeticone, an inert antifoaming agent that helps gas bubbles merge and pass. Registered for heaviness and bloating with digestion.
Legal status: Sold without a prescription in Spain (AEMPS register); status of pancreatin products varies by country. Not on the WADA Prohibited List.
What it gives
What people use it for and what the sources report. Strength is a general category from the literature: mild, clear or strong.
Purpose
Used for heaviness, bloating and slow digestion on very high-calorie mass-gain diets. Medical use: relief of digestive upset with swallowed air or flatulence, such as heaviness and slow digestion linked to low pancreatic enzymes, from age 12.
What people seek and what studies show
Used to ease fullness and gas after large meals. It is not absorbed and acts only on food in the gut. In a small crossover trial in 18 healthy people, pancreatic enzymes reduced bloating after a high-fat meal versus placebo; the combination itself has little published trial data, and it does not act on the liver or pancreas.

Possible side effects
Possible does not mean certain: whether they appear depends on dose, duration, individual response and monitoring. Below — what to watch for and how to notice it early.

How to lower the risks
For 1 of 2 possible side effects there are specific ways to lower the chance: everyday measures, supplements and options a doctor may consider. For the rest — general advice. No measure removes a risk completely.
Low-level side effects
How each option helps (3)
- Fluid & electrolyte management — Good hydration eases kidney stress from heavy training and heat; dehydration plus NSAIDs is a classic cause of acute kidney injury.
- Regular blood tests — Creatinine reads high in muscular people and with creatine; cystatin C and a urine test give a truer picture of the kidneys.
- Working with a doctor — Investigates protein in the urine or falling kidney function and can start treatment that slows kidney damage.
Check-ups and blood tests
Which tests and check-ups to do and when. This is a guide — agree the exact schedule with your doctor.
For women
No pregnancy data; it is not absorbed, so no harm to the baby is expected, but the label asks a doctor or pharmacist to weigh benefit and risk in pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Myth & fact
“Digestive enzymes take the load off the liver and pancreas on steroids or a mass-gain diet.”
No. The tablet is not absorbed and works only on food in the gut; it does not lower the strain that steroids put on the liver or pancreas.
